About Us

Welcome to Ancaster Little Gems Children's Centre, Inc.

An established childcare institution rooted in a family legacy of love and learning.

Founded in 2022 through the acquisition of Ancaster Little Gems Children’s Centre, which was established by Karen Norman in 1988, our center continues to uphold a tradition of excellence in early childhood education. Under the leadership of Casie FitzGibbon, daughter of Karen Norman and now President of the centre, we are committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment where children can thrive.

The story of Ancaster Little Gems traces back to 339 Wilson Street East in Ancaster, when it was Karen’s family home. In the mid 1980’s Karen realized the need for childcare in the Ancaster area after struggling to find suitable childcare for her young children. Karen’s desire to create a quality childcare centre in a homelike environment, quickly became a reality and Little Gems opened its doors. Inspired by her mother’s vision and passion for childcare and education, Casie embarked on a journey to continue the legacy of Little Gems, transforming it into the thriving center it is today.

At Ancaster Little Gems Children’s Centre, Inc., we believe in the power of early childhood education to shape young minds and futures. Our dedicated team of educators are committed to providing a play-based curriculum that fosters creativity, curiosity, and confidence in every child. We understand the importance of holistic development, nurturing not only academic skills but also social-emotional well-being and physical health.

As a family-owned and operated center, Ancaster Little Gems Children’s Centre, Inc. is committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where children feel like part of our extended family. We invite you to join us on this journey of discovery and growth, where every child’s potential is cherished and nurtured.

Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of caring for your Little Gems.
